JOB <br />HAZARD a a <br />• Prohibit employee under loads that handled by lifting or digging equipment. To avoid <br />being struck by any spillage or falling materials, require employees to stand away from <br />vehicles being loaded or unloaded. If cabs of vehicles provide adequate protection from <br />falling loads during loading and unloading operations, the operators may remain in them. <br />• Individuals working at or near heavy equipment or vehicular traffic areas shall wear a <br />reflective safety vest to improve visibility to the driver. <br />• Drivers on site shall obey all speed and directional traffic sign in addition to applicable <br />Department of Transportation regulations. <br />FENCING <br />1. LIFTING SAFELY <br />• Practice proper lifting techniques. Get assistance when needed. <br />2. CUTS AND/OR , •OM WORKING WITH FENCINGi WIRES <br />• Gloves should always be worn when working with and cutting upon wires and fence <br />materials. <br />1. EXPOSURE TO AIRBORNE CONTAMINANTS <br />• Wear respiratory protection if required. <br />• The appropriate air monitoring shall be conducted during sampling activities to ensure <br />that adequate respiratory protection is being used. Sampling may include PID, LEL/02, <br />or analyte specific colorimetric tubes. Air sample shall be collected from within the <br />breathing zone of the worker. <br />• If the contaminants are unknown or IDLH conditions exist workers should not enter these <br />areas until additional information or the appropriate respiratory protection (i.e. supplied <br />air respirator) are made available. <br />2.
