n <br />DDRW-AFOC <br />FACILITIES CONTROL <br />STATEMENT OF WORK <br />The contractor shall provide all labor, material, equipment, and supervision to complete <br />the work as outlined in this statement, contract specifications, and drawings. <br />Part 1. Before start of the oil -water separator installation, clean trench/drains inside wash <br />rack Pump out and clean 4,500 gallon underground vault and aboveground 550 gallon tank. <br />.Temporally plug out pipe from interior floor drains to fie underground vault. Dispose of <br />wastes in accordance with Section 02071 of the Contract Specifications. <br />Part 2. Remove existing 550 gallon tank, piping, and ancillary equipment from the brimed <br />concrete pad at south end of underground vault. Remove electrical controls for pump from <br />the south side of brims exterior. Extend ridged conduit to north side of brims exterior. <br />Extend height of 6'X 9' pad inside brim in two stages; pour a 4'x 6' area at the west end of <br />pad eighteen inches above the existing pads surface, at the same time pour a 5'x 6' area at <br />the east end of the pad eight inches higher than the existing surface. Pour a pad in the <br />north west corner of the brim interior six inches high and of sufficient size to mount new <br />suction pump. Before concrete is poured upon existing concrete surfaces dowels shall be <br />placed vertically at each corner of each rectangle four inches in from its exterior <br />parameter. The dowels shall be a minimum of one half inch in diameter set two inches into <br />existing concrete surface and protruding two inches above to prevent movement ofnew <br />concrete <br />Pari 3. Install the packaged oil -water separator on upper portion of the raised pad. Install <br />the suction pump on the new pad provided for it inside brim. Install pump motor controls <br />on a stand similar to the original installation.. Install the floating skimmer through the <br />center access cover of the underground vault providing a method to seal the pipe and <br />electrical conduit preventing surface water from entering. Cap offpipe between north and <br />south chambers of underground vault. Inspect/repair the sealer around pipe to insure <br />contaminates cannot migrate from one chamber to another. Cap off six inch drain to storm <br />sewer from inside the sample box. Make all plumbing and electrical connections from <br />underground vault to the oil -water separator equipment. All items not factory finished shall <br />be field painted in accordance with Section 09900 of the Contract Specifications. <br />Part 4. Begin trenching from outside the brim directly in line with the water discharge <br />outlet of the oil -water separator to the four inch sewer line (approximately seventy five <br />feet away) at the north east comer of building 171.
