Na Precipitation Temperature Min 55F Max 6SF Soto Paving crew arrived at 0800. We all went to the security building to obtain badges. A safety briefing was Conducted at 0920. The AC cutting representative was also present. All of the equipment was inspected. Concrete cutter began cutting AC at 0945. Soto representative left the site at 0930 to get a load of Class II (virgin) asphalt base. The AC crew began prepping AC at 0930. AB prep was completed at 1230. It was decided that the AC would be placed today. The first load of AC arrived at 1415 hrs. AC placement began at 1425 hrs. The final load of AC arrived at 1535 hrs. The Soto crew policed the area and picked up all of the AC debris and loaded it onto their truck for off haul. We left the site at 1700 hrs. Subject: Safety Inspections/Meetings: Workers were, told to obey all base safety rules. We discussed hazards associated with placing AC including lifting. slipping. and tripping hazards. Workers were reminded to wear proper work attire. They were also told to wear proper hearing protection when needed. 7.
