WEATHER <br />No Interruption. No Precipitation <br />Temperature Min 55F Max 70F <br />I arrived at the site at 0745 and waited for Alfanso Soto <paving contractor). <br />He was going to provide me with a cost estimate for placing the AC at Bldg. <br />330. Al Gonzales escorted us onto the site. V&W began drilling at 0820. <br />Alfanso was escorted off site at 0850. Garrett Weiss arrived at 0855 hrs. T-4 <br />sample was collected by Garrett Weiss at 0920 hrs. Dennis Catanyan arrived at <br />0925 hrs. Dennis wanted to know about the method employed during the <br />backfilling of the sample holes. I told him that V&W had mixed the cementuous <br />mix in a 55 gallon drum then poured it into the hole. Dennis was satisfied <br />with the explanation. Rebar was encountered at the T-5 sample location. Sample <br />location was moved 1' North. We then moved the sample location 1' West of the <br />original location (Dennis agreed) after hitting rebar again. Sample T-5 was <br />collected at 1250 hrs. Sample T-6 was collected at 1420 hrs. Garrett Weiss <br />hand delivered the samples to Fed Ex. Dennis and Al left the site. V&W <br />completed grouting and clean up of the site at 1530 hrs. We all left the site <br />at 1600 hrs. <br />Subject: Safety Inspections/Meetings: <br />A safety briefing and drill schedule was reviewed at 0800 hrs_ Topics of <br />discussion included proper work attire and work related hazards. Worker were <br />reminded to wear hard hats and safety vests. <br />8.
