I went to Don Valentines office at 0900 and
downloaded all of the dailies and in/out information up to day. I also
informed Don of the lift time for the AST 1200 hrs. The AST pad was drained
and cleaned for marking for the AST. Kleinfelder called and verbally gave me
the results of the 7 day break test. The result was 3470 psi. We're ready to
set the AST.
The crane truck arrived at 1200 hrs. An inspection was conducted. Don(COE) was
present during the inspection. The 75 ton crane was supplied by TRS Inc. It
passed all visual inspection.
The low bed from Hertz arrived at the same time as the crane truck.
The crane truck set up on the back side of the AST and lifted it onto the low
bed. The crane and truck then transported the AST to the. building 330 site.
The AST was then unloaded at approximately 1345 hrs.
There are no incidents to report.
A base representative arrived and stated that the fuel would be transferred
within the next couple of days.
I informed Fred Martin (COR) of the schedule change. We will not be removing
the USTs until the last week of next month.
Some of the appertenances were placed on the AST.
The site was secured and Jose went to CPE to obtain some more necessary items
for the AST.
Subject: Safety Inspections/Meetings:
Safety around cranes was discussed today. workers will not be within 20 feet
of the lifting objects.
