0
Michelle Henry [EH]
From: Mark Kravis [mkravis@earthlink.net]
Sent: Thursday, January 10, 2008 4:18 PM
To: Michelle Henry[EH]
Subject: RE: Nupi
Attachments: scan0006Jpg; scan0005Jpg
Yes there is a difference; Smart Flex is the old UL version Super SmartFlex is the new UL 971. You can see the
difference in the CARIB doc. The new pipe has a green liner on the inside&outside of the primary pipe and the
secondary has a green liner on the inside. In the past there was only one liner on the inside of the primary pipe.
Here is the pipe and why it is confusing. Everything is in metric measurements so it drives you crazy.
The listings are only done by primary pipe and it is all metric so it is not perfect. We have 50mm which is 1.5 inch
but really it's 1.97 inches and that's the od of the primary. The secondary is not listed with that but is on page 18.
It is listed as 63 mm which is 2.5 inches , really 2.48 inches .
So 1.5 double wall pipe is 1.5 inch id primary(50mm OD)and a 2 inch ID secondary. Listed as OD 2.5 inch
(63MM) Or so. See page 10 & page 18 attached.
2 inch double wall is 2 inch ID primary(63mm OD)and 2.5 inch secondary listed as OD 3 inch (75mm)or so.
See page 10 & page 18 attached
3 inch double wall is 3 inch id primary(90 mm OD)actually closer to 2.9 inches ID. And 5 inch secondary listed as
OD 5 inch (125mm)or so. See page 10 &page 18 attached
Call me tomorrow.
Mark Kravis
-----Original Message-----
From: Michelle Henry [EH] [mailto:m hen ry@sjcehd.com]
Sent: Thursday, January 10, 2008 7:52 AM
To: Mark Kravis
Subject: RE: Nupi
Hi Mark,
Thanks for submitting this document. A couple more questions-is there a difference between smartflex
piping and Supersmartflex? I see in this document the 5° over 3" is described but I still am not seeing
anything for the 2°over 1 1/2" the hospital is planning on using. As the manufacturer do you have
anything that list your product as 5" over 3" and 2"over 1 1/2"?
Thanks
Michelle
From: Mark Kravis [mailto:mkravis@earthlink.net]
Sent: Wednesday, January 09, 2008 8:24 PM
To: Michelle Henry [EH]
Subject: FW: Nupi
With attachment.
