Any additional state, local, or federal <br /> regulations must be observed. Additional customer requirements should be <br /> cleared through Field Service.___. <br /> General Reauir,232 is <br /> 1. only air-powered mechanical tools are to be employed. <br /> 2. The tank is to be mechanically ventilated at all times that a marl is <br /> inside the <br /> 3. Use of an air-supplied mask with Egress cylinder is required at all <br /> times unless it can be absolpt9la ascertained that the tank has never <br /> contained any product. <br /> 4. An approved safety harness with lifelines attadhed must be worn by the <br /> man entering the tank. <br /> 5. Tanks having an atmosphere over 130OF are not to be entered. Work no <br /> longer than 60 minutes in tanks at 100-130 degrees F. <br /> 6. Only an approved explosion-proof light source is to be used. <br /> 7. A completed Confined Space Entry.Permit is required to be posted prior <br /> to each tank entry, visible to those in proximity. <br /> 8. A reliable safety observer, with no duties other than assisting and <br /> monitoring the OCT technician, must be available at all times. The <br /> safety observer is allowed to pass tools a3ad similarly assist the man <br /> in the tank as long as voice and preferably, visual contact is <br /> maintained. if the safety observer m3 t leave the tank, the technician <br /> is to halt work and exit the tank. ' <br /> In addition to the primary safety observer, one (1) additional man <br /> (stand-by) must be within hearing distance and aware of the air horn <br /> signal to help in a physical rescue if required. <br /> A SCBA safety harness and an air horn mist be available for immediate <br /> use by the safety observer. <br /> 9. No flash pictures are to be taken in the tank, even with recognized <br /> diver's camera. <br />
