ARS will rescind this site in a separate letter to Veeder-Root.
On October 13, 2006, we issued a letter granting R&D test site approval for UNOCAL
76 (NO. 25) to install components to support a Veeder Root Phase 11 assist enhanced
vapor recovery (EVR) system. We understand that Veeder Root will convert the
UNOCAL 76 (NO. 25) site to a balance system to support the certification of the
Veeder-Root Phase 11 balance EVR system. On January 25, 2007, Veeder-Root
requested a revision of the uncertified equipment that may be installed at the UNOCAL
76 (NO. 25) facility. Initially, Veeder-Root would use the above facilities as R&D test
sites to generate test data and information for the preliminary application of the Veeder-
Root's Phase 11 balance EVR system. Afterward, these facilities will be used as
certification test sites for the Veeder-Root Phase II balance EVR system.
The above facilities are approved as R&D test sites subject to all of the applicable
conditions and requirements in Certification Procedure 201 (CP -201) as well as the
conditions listed below:
1.
