4.4.2 Gasoline Vapor - (see FIGURE 3, page 11.) The processor is
connected to the vent riser manifold by a 2" NPT galvanized pipe.
Manifold to be mi.nimxn 12 ft. above grade. This pipe must rise
continuous frim manifold connection to processor connectialI
-"supported about every 8 ft. of its span to prevent trapping
liquid in droops or sags in the pipe. If pipe frau vent riser
manifold can not rise continuously to processor, install low point
drain per Case 2, FIGURE 3. Pipe connection at the processor is
with two l" NPT nipples, 1" NPT anion, and l" NPT to 2" NPT bell
reducer. *Piping on the roof must be galvanized and may not be
figerglass.
Caution: Hold processor pipe train coupling. with wrench to
Prevent twisting internal pipe train while connecting vapor piping.
All gasoline tank vent risers must be connected to manifold: No
vent risers frac► tanks not ppnt-uining gasoline are to be connected
into the manifold. No diesel, no oil, no hoist vent, etc.
4.4.3 Current Sensing Relay - (To sense station's gasoline dispenser
status.) This is an electrical connection, fram Terminal (1) to
Terminal (8) in the processor, through the switch in the current
sensing relay. This switch closes when any one or more gasoline
dispensers is ON. Its purpose is to bypass the lesser vacuu¢n
switch and cause the greater vacucsn switch to control when one or
more customers are dispensing gasoline. The wiring do____es-not
supply external electrical power to the processor. It is a
passive jumper. The Current Sensing Relay may be located: anywhere
convenient, usually in the station's main electrical panel where
the product pump wires are.
-------- Current Sensing Relay.
Hot conductor #1 lead, (usually
red) , one from each gasoline
product pump. =wires Waist
go through the hole in the sacra'
direction (to avoid signal
cancellation) .
