This oxygenate represents about 10% by volume of
Division of gasoline at this time, and it does not share the same characteristics as the petroleum
Clean water constituents in gasoline with regard to solubility, density, environmental fate, etc. As a
Programs result, we are especially concerned that tanks currently in operation storing gasoline do
not leak. In other words, because of MTBE in gasoline, it is even more important that
Mailing Address:
P.O. We are interested in knowing for the
tanks that were closed (TC) if there is any indication that the tanks were previously
tested and determined to be tight and were later discovered leaking.
We would also like to receive copies of the available monitoring records (tank
testing, annual MIR statements, SIR test results, automatic tank gauging results)
going back two years for each of the tanks shown in your jurisdiction.
HOW LEAK DATE OF
SITE ADDRESS TANK AGE DISCOVERED TANK TEST PASS/FAIL
Please attach supplemental sheets if needed.
