RED THREADIt IIA fiberglass product pip- ing in 2", 3" and 4" diameters and 3", 4" and 5" containment pipe carry the UL label for conveying petroleum products, alcohols and alcohol - gasoline mixtures underground. These products are ULC Listed for conveying petroleum products, ethanol, and gasoli nei ethanol mixtures. RED THREAD IIA fiberglass pipe and fittings provide a containment system that is pressure testable and can be continuously monitored. UL/ULC Listed Smith Fiberglass Products piping offers many additional benefits for the petroleum marketer concerned about long life, quality and ease of installation. • Exceptional Corrosion Resistance - UL/ULC Listed RED THREAD IIA pipe resists internal and external corrosion from hazardous soils, alternative and reformulated fuels and other corrosive fluids. • Quality Assurance - RED THREAD IIA fiberglass piping undergoes ongoing testing to meet the high quality standards established by Smith Fiberglass Products. These quality assurance procedures exceed the minimum test require- ments of Underwriters Laboratories. All UL.'ULC Listed RED THREAD IIA pipe is hydrostatically tested at inspection rates exceeding 98 per- cent. Molded product fittings are 100 percent hydrostatically tested U.S. P,itent 4.1107,,444 per UL/ULC requirements, and secondary containment fittings are tested in accordance with standards approved by UUULC. Telescoping Inspection Contain- ment - Smith Fiberglass Products offers the only 100 percent' inspec- table double-wall fiberglass pipe system. The system provides assur- ance of a leak -free product system before the containment is closed and tested. And, it allows access to the primary piping after the installation is completed. Easy -to -Install Containment Fittings - Female threaded inserts are factory installed in one-half of the two-piece containment fitting. Companion bolts are shipped with each fitting. Simply apply adhesive, drop the bolt in, tighten . . . and the joint is complete. High Pressure/ Temperature Rating - RED THREAD IIA pipe offers cyclic operating pressure ratings of up to 250 psig at 150° F.
