Hazardous Waste Description <br />A. The contaminates suspected on this site are petroleum products, however, if <br />unexpected conditions or substances are encountered, which are considered <br />hazardous, as defined in Section 25117 of the Health & Safety Code, work will be <br />suspended until the engineer is notified both verbally and in writing and until such <br />time as he authorizes it to continue. <br />6. Personal Protective Equipment (As Applicable) <br />A. Appropriate skin protection/Tyvek suits (if necessary) <br />B. Air purifying respirator <br />C. Hard hats and safety glasses <br />D. Gloves and steel -toed boots <br />E. Hearing protection, as necessary <br />F. Eye wash and first-aid kits on site <br />G. Fire extinguishers <br />7. On -Site Monitoring <br />A. Underground piping will be monitored with a LEL meter to determine <br />explosive levels (if applicable). <br />
