SL 16ODERGROUND STORAGE TANK <br />Section 13215 — Page 1 <br />PART 1 — GENERAL <br />1.01 SECTION INCLUDES <br />A. Remove existing fuel tanks. Furnish and install underground double—wall <br />storage tank with all fittings, monitors, leak detection system, primary <br />and secondary vents and all necessary piping, JP4 fuel pump, separator, <br />filter, hose reel and accessories. Existing fuel shall be removed and <br />became property of Contractor. <br />1.02 MISCELLANEOUS <br />See plans for standard symbols and abbreviations. <br />See plans for locations, sizes, capacities and types of equipment, fixtures, <br />etc. <br />Provide all work in accordance with manufacturer's recommendations and <br />instructions. <br />Steel gauges are United States Standard. <br />1.03 CODES <br />A. Mechanical: All work, including equipment, materials and installation to <br />conform to California Administrative Code, Title 24, Building Standards <br />(CAC Title 24) and to California Administrative Code, Title 8, Chapter 4, <br />Division of Industrial Safety (DIS), air resources regulations, and applic— <br />able local enviromental codes, also to conform to all Federal Aviation <br />Adminstration (F.A.A.) requirements. <br />B. Electrical: <br />1. Work installed or material used must comply with latest rules of the <br />California Administrative Code (CAC), Title 24, Part 3, Electrical Code. <br />2. Underwriters' Laboratories, Inc. (UL): Standards. <br />1.04 PERMITS TO INSTALL AND OPERATE <br />A. Permits to operate: The Contractor shall provide all required permits to <br />operate pressure vessels per the requirements of the Division of Industrial <br />Safety (DIS), permits for underground double—wall steel storage tank for fuel <br />product system per the requirements of the local air pollution control <br />district, permits to operate underground storage tanks per the requirements <br />of Title 23, Subchapter 16, California Administrative Code (CAC), or the <br />local agency regulations, and shall pay all costs for such permits, and <br />shall perform all the required tests. Such permits shall be posted under <br />glass at the site of the work. <br />B. A certified tank test shall be required by a Tank Testing Contractor upon <br />tank installation to test for leaks in tank and piping.
