ERGROUND STORAGE TANK <br />section 13215 - Page 9 <br />2. Appropriate shoring will be used to insure that sides of hole remain <br />stable and that adjoining property is unaffected. <br />3. Place tank in the hole adding only enough ballast to sink them. Ballast <br />level in tank must never exceed the water level in hole during install- <br />ation. While adding ballast use only lifting cable to keep tank in <br />position. Tank should be free to roll slightly. The lift cable must be <br />carefully tended. Caution: Never place tanks on timbers, beams or <br />cradles. <br />4. While lev- ? eling tanks, insure that min. distances are maintained. <br />5. Distribute backfill evenly around tanks and continue procedures as <br />outlined for dry hole installation. <br />I. Anchoring: Use anchor straps on designated ribs or sections. Anchor <br />points must be 10' apart. Anchor points must be aligned with designated <br />rib or sections for hold-down straps. Anchor bolts must be embedded in <br />concrete and the end of the straps attached to the bolts with wire cable <br />and triple clamped. (Be sure there is a min. 12" bed between concrete pads <br />and tanks.) Use min 1/2" steel wire rope and 1-1/4" thread diameter turn- <br />buckles. <br />J. Independent Tank Test. <br />1. Purpose <br />The purpose of this section is to identify the specific data and infor- <br />mation on precision tank testing results that the tank tester shall <br />provide to the Office of the State Architect. <br />2. Certification <br />Certification shall be provided for tank successfully tested as follows: <br />A. Certificate shall include the following data: <br />1. Tank owner. <br />2. Owner's mailing address <br />3. Owner's representative (Facility Manager or responsible facility <br />representative) and phone number. <br />4. Name of facility. <br />5. Facility address. <br />6. Date of tank test. <br />7. Result of tank test. <br />8. Business name of tank testing company <br />9. Mailing address of tank testing company. <br />10.
