Descriptive Data: Submit 5 copies of catalog cuts and/or complete descrip- <br />tion, information and performance data covering explosion proof junction <br />boxes and seals. <br />1.02 CODE RULES AND SAFETY REGULATIONS <br />Work installed or material used must comply with latest rules of: <br />A. California Administrative Code (CAC) Title 24, Part 3, Basic Electrical <br />Regulations, State Building Standards Electrical Code. <br />B. Underwriter' Laboratories, Inc. (UL): Standards. <br />PART 2 - PRODUCTS <br />2.01 SPECIFIC EQUIPMENT MODELS <br />A. Where manufacturer's specific model numbers are specified or shown, these <br />indicate general acceptable types required. Modify the specified models to <br />comply with all requirements, as specified or shown. <br />2.02 WIRE, 600 VOLTS OR LESS <br />A. Conductors: Copper. 410 AWG and smaller shall be solid. <br />B. Insulation: Type XHHW; or Type THHN. <br />2.03 WIRING MATERIALS <br />A. Connectors for Copper Conductors 410 AWG and Smaller. <br />1. Preinsulated Spring Pressure Type: Scotchlok Types Y, R, G and B; Ideal <br />"Wing Nut"; T & B Series PT, or equal. <br />2. Splice Cap Type: Uninsulated metal cap applied with proper indenter tool <br />which provides deformation of cap in 2 directions at right angles to each <br />other, Buchanan, or equal. <br />i B. Electrical Tapes. <br />1. Friction Tape: Per ASTM D-69. <br />2. Rubber Tape: 0.030" thick, per ASTM D-119. <br />3. Plastic Tape: 0.007" thick, min, 3M Co "Scotch" #33, <br />Plymouth "All weather" #4432, or equal. <br />C. Wire Markers: Self adhesive, wrap around, cloth type, E -Z Code, Brady "Derma <br />Code", or equal. <br />2.04 CONDUIT AND FITTINGS <br />A. General Requirements. <br />1. Conduit manufactured under supervision of UL Factory Inspection and Label <br />Service, with UL label and manufacturer's name on each length of conduit. <br />2.
