In the event of a release, stay calm, <br /> panicking will destabilize the situation and create even more safety hazards. <br /> Stop the release as soon as possible by exercising the Emergency Shutoff <br /> Switch or by cutting off power at the main electrical panel. Show each <br /> employee the ESO and explain its function. <br /> Once the flow has been stopped, assess the situation. The first priority should <br /> be to eliminate the risks of exposure to your customers or other employees. <br /> Restrict access to the affected area. If the severity of the release dictates, <br /> evacuate the site except for required personnel. <br /> 8 <br />
