4 <br />6. Portable Fire Extinguisher(s) Required — The area which will contain the aboveground flammable/combustible <br />liquid storage tank(s) shall have adequate fire extinguishers placed within 30 feet of the storage tank(s). The <br />minimum size and type of fire extinguisher shall be 10 lb., dry -chemical, having a minimum rating of 2A:20BC. <br />7. Spill Control and Monitoring - Tank secondary containment areas shall be continuously monitored. In addon, <br />tanks shall have devices installed to prevent over filling and over spng of petroleum products. <br />8. Leak Detection - All single walled piping installed must be visually unobstructed so that any leaks can be <br />detected. <br />9. SPCC Plan Required - A Spill Prevention Control and Countermeasure (SPCC) Plan shall be prepared by a <br />qualified engineer and a permit shall be applied for with the California Regional Water Quality Control Board. <br />Final Fire Department Inspection Required — to verify that requirements for fire protection facilities have been met, <br />and actual construction of all fire protection equipment has been completed in accordance with the approved plan. <br />Aboveground Flammable and Combustible Liquid Tank Installation 10/18/10 <br />
