Best Management Practices Bank of Stockton Aircraft Fueling
The following activities are potential sources of pollutants:
Aircraft Fueling, Fuel Delivery and trash can areas.
Pollutants may include: Hydro carbons (fuel), chemicals, and trash.
Pollution prevention measures are used at the Bank of Stockton Hangar facility.
a) Use of safer and non-toxic or recycled products.
b) Reduce use of water (use dry methods)
c) Provide employee training.
General:
If water is being used for cleaning out door areas, contain the wash water. A
permit is required to dispose of wash water in a sanitary sewer (call City of
Stockton (209) 937-8740 for disposal approval). Never discharge wash water into
storm drains, gutters or streets.
Maintain facility and move/cover activities/materials to prevent contact with storm
water.
Inspect and clean leaks and drips routinely.
Label drains Within facility boundary to indicate weather they flow to an oil/water
separator, directly to the sewer, or to a storm drain.
Inspect/clean storm drain inlets within facility boundary before October 1t each
year.
Fuel Delivery:
Inspect delivery truck for obvious drips or leaks while parked for delivery.
Use buckets under all truck to hose and hose to delivery port connections.
Have rags available, and use to wipe up small drips
Have spill containment supplies immediately available for use.
