■ Lawrence Livermore National Laboratory
August 5, 1988
Dr. Jog i Khanna
San Joaquin Local Health District
Post Office Box 2009 AUG 91988
Stockton, Ca 95201
EPNIROMENTAL HEALTH
FERMIT/SERVICES
Subject: Results of Tank Testing at Lawrence Livermore National
Laboratory Site 300
Dear Dr. Khanna,
This letter transmits the results of leak tightness tests performed
on underground tank systems at Site 300 since the time of our
submittal to Diane Hinson on January 22, 19.88. All but one of the
tests reported here are Precision Tests performed =in accordance with
NFPA 329-1983 and Section 2643(b) of the California Underground Tank
Regulations. The test constituting the exception was a helium
injection/detection test.
Attached is a copy of each individual test worksheet and report,
along with a table summarizing the information. The test reports are
arranged chronologically by test date, while the summary table lists
the tanks by increasing registration number.
All of the Precision Tests indicate "tight" systems. The helium test
was performed on an empty out-of-use diesel fuel system at Building
874, SWRCB Registration Number 874-11D. This system will be
permanently closed. The plan for closure is in preparation and will
be received by your office within 30 days.
If you have any questions or comments regarding this work, please
feel free to contact Connie De Grange, Leader, Environmental Guidance
and Monitoring Division, at (415) 422-5167.
f leA- -Fa
3 Cyd
Sincerely,
Richard C.
