0 0
probe has an outer pipe that circulates product from the top of
the tank, to the pump. The pump output is through a 3/4 pipe
inside the probe to the bottom of the tank.
The product temperature is measured by a sensor located at
the inlet of the probe. The sensor is connected to a Wheatstone
bridge meter.
The meter allows product above grade temperature changes of
0.003°F to be measured.
The standpipe is connected to the circulation probe and is
filled to a specific level with product contiguous with tank
product. Product volume changes in the tank result in liquid
level changes in the standpipe. The volumetric amount of the
level change in the graduated cylinder is measured.
4.2 Horner EZY-CHEK
This system has two essential functional components :
- a liquid level change, pressure recorder, and
- a temperature sensor/meter or liquid probe.
The tank is completely filled with product up into the fill-
pipe and standpipe, if used. Product volume changes result in
liquid level change which is continuously recorded. Liquid level
change is related to pressure change in the bubble tube .
-4-
