■ Lawrence Livermore National Laboratory <br />October 7, 2008 R C C E u IV E D <br />San Joaquin County Environmental Health Department OCT 0 8 2008 <br />Ms. Michelle Henry ENVIRONIVIENT HEALTH <br />600 East Main Street <br />Stockton, CA 95202-3029 <br />Subject: Annual Leak Detection Monitoring System Certification Reports and Annual <br />Spill Bucket Leak Test Reports for Lawrence Livermore National Laboratory, <br />Site 300 <br />Dear Ms. Henry: <br />Enclosed are the annual leak detection monitoring system certification reports and the annual <br />spill bucket leak test reports for the 3 regulated Underground Storage Tanks (USTs) at the <br />Lawrence Livermore National Laboratory, Site 300. Routine maintenance and service checks <br />and tests of the monitoring equipment for regulated USTs are performed annually in accordance <br />with 23 CCR 2630 (d), 23 CCR 2637 (b), and 23 CCR 2712 (b). The spill bucket leak tests are <br />performed annually in accordance with H&S Code, Section 25284.2. <br />Annual leak detection monitoring system certification testing and spill bucket leak testing of the <br />underground petroleum tank systems 879-D 1 U 1, 879-G3U 1, and 882-D 1 U 1 were performed by <br />Mr. Brian Thornton of Thornton Environmental Construction Inc., of Milpitas, CA on <br />September 8, 2008. All of the leak detection systems were found to be in proper operating <br />condition. All of the spill buckets were found to be leak tight except the spill bucket on the <br />879-G3U1 tank system.
