At the end of each work day, all contaminated cleaning <br /> and rinsewater will be contained in sealed, labeled drums and stored <br /> in a secured area adjacent to the exclusion zone. At the end of all <br /> decontamination activities, the cleaning and rinsewater will be <br /> characterized for disposal by LLNL's Hazardous Waste Management <br /> (HWM). The method of disposal for the cleaning and rinsewater will <br /> depend upon the analytical results. LLNL will dispose of the cleaning <br /> and rinsewater at the proper facility. <br /> Personal Decontamination <br /> All contaminated PPE that can not be adequately cleaned for disposal <br /> as non-hazardous waste, will be contained in designated receptacles <br /> and stored in the secured area, pending disposal by LLNL HWM at the <br /> proper facility. <br /> Level D Sequential Equipment Drop: <br /> 1 . Wash/rinse boots <br /> 2. ash/rinse outer gloves, then remove and dispose; leather <br /> work gloves can be reused, but should be cleaned to the extent <br /> possible and sealed in a plastic bag. <br /> I Remove and dispose of inner gloves. <br /> Support Zone <br /> This zone is used for the storage of sampling equipment and <br /> supplies. Workers should don PPE in this zone prior to entering the <br /> decontamination and exclusion zones. <br /> D-12 <br />
