When liquid collects in these <br />areas, the float rises and opens the switch. This is detected by the CEI console. <br />Benefits <br />The CEI LS -3 is a low cost device, which requires little maintenance. The device is <br />inherently safe. If the probe fails or the wiring to the console is faulty, the console <br />reports an alarm condition. <br />All probes are home run to the CEI console, and all probes are individually identified <br />at the console. <br />Specifications <br />Type Reed Switch <br />Operation Normally closed, open when floating <br />Recommended Location <br />The float switch is typically installed in the bottom of the turbine sump, in the annular <br />space of steel double-wall tanks, and in the fill sump.
