Once completed,the JHA <br /> should be reviewed regularly with site personnel who will be performing this task. <br /> Task Description: <br /> Guidelines for mitigating natural hazards such as poisonous animals and plants,and terrain-related hazards. <br /> Hazard Analysis: <br /> Task Step Hazard Control Measures <br /> Performing fieldwork in the Exposure to natural hazards can lead to injuries Identify the expected types of natural hazards during the <br /> presence of various natural such as twisted ankles or to more complex medical safety planning/HASP-writing stage of a project and verify <br /> hazards emergencies such as poisonous plant or insect conditions once onsite. If conditions differ,put protective <br /> encounters. steps in-place to mitigate the natural hazard if possible. <br /> Mitigation of natural hazards may involve removal of the <br /> hazard prior to work beginning,or avoiding the hazard <br /> during work. <br /> Working around poisonous Poisonous plant exposure Poison ivy,oak,and sumac are common in North America <br /> plants and should be avoided. For sites with these hazards present, <br /> have a poison ivy wash available for employees on-site.
