Use insulated screwdrivers for work on <br /> electrical equipment. <br /> Using hammers Creation of sparks Use brass hammers in areas where creating sparks would pose <br /> ignition hazards. <br /> Particles may lodge in employee's eyes Always use safety glasses when striking any object with a <br /> hammer. If hammer-head shows signs of mushrooming, <br /> replace it immediately. <br /> Loose handles may create a projectile hazard Replace any hammer with a loose handle so the hammer-head <br /> does not detach and cause injuries. <br /> Personal Protective Equipment Re uired for this Task: <br /> Type Description . <br /> High-visibility glove Gloves typically in fluorescent green,orange,or yellow. <br /> Cut-resistant glove Limited protection is afforded by leather gloves from cuts.
