North America Job Hazard Analysis <br /> ERM BMP Maintenance <br /> Project Name: John Deere Landscapes(Former LESCO Facility) <br /> Project Number: 0129740 <br /> Job/Task Name: BMP Maintenance <br /> JHA No.: 13 <br /> Document Routing <br /> FSO Retain copy in site health&safety file;amend to Health and Safety Plan(HASP)as necessary. <br /> Project Manager Retain copy in the office health&safety file,amend to HASP as necessary. <br /> Instructions: This JHA has been developed and approved by The Railyards Project Safety Team. The JHA should be reviewed <br /> with site personnel who will be performing this task. <br /> Task Description: <br /> Guidelines for safely installing BMPs such as straw wattles,straw mats,and silt fence. <br /> Hazard Analysis: <br /> Task Step Hazard Control Measures <br /> Survey the area for washouts Uneven Terrain-slips,trips,and falls. Employee awareness while walking,and training in <br /> and failed BMPs that require recognition of hazards. Avoid uneven/ wet ground and <br /> maintenance. areas overgrown with vegetation whenever possible <br /> Heat(during summer months). Follow HASP procedures for heat stress. Drink plenty of <br /> fluids(6-8 oz.water per hour);take breaks in shade when <br /> doing physically demanding tasks. <br /> Cold(during winter months). Wear warm clothing,and rain gear if raining. <br /> Insects. Wear insect repellant,if encountered. <br /> Lift rolls of silt fence and/or Back Injury.
