SCOPE OF WORK <br /> Based on the results of the previous investigations and UST removal activities, soil and ground water <br />' at the site has been impacted The lateral and vertical extent of impacted soil and impact on ground <br /> water must be assessed prior to the initiation of remediation The assessment activities will consist <br /> of the following tasks <br />' • Permitting and pre-field work activities, <br />' • Drilling and soil sample collection, <br /> • Monitoring well installation and development, <br /> • Ground water sample collection, <br /> • Preparation of a report of findings <br /> 1 <br /> 3 1 PERMITTING AND PRE-FIELD WORK ACTNITIES <br /> • Applicable site assessment permits will be obtained from the PHS-EHD In addition, an update to <br /> the health and safety plan presently on-file will be prepared in accordance with Occupational Safety <br />' and Health Guidance Manual for Hazardous Waste Site Activities (National Institute for <br /> Occupational Safety and Health Administration, U S Coast Guard and U S Environmental <br /> Protection Agency, 1985) Prior to mobilization, each monitoring well location will be clearly <br />' marked and a utility clearance obtained through Underground Service Alert <br />' 32 DRILLING AND SAMPLING <br />' AGE proposes to install four ground water monitoring wells at the site as part of site assessment <br /> activities Proposed well locations are i us ra e In Figure 2 <br />' Based on soil and ground water contamination encountered beneath the former UST area, AGE <br /> proposes ground water monitoring wells in the following locations <br /> • Between 15 and 25 feet west ofbonng B-1, <br /> • Between 15 and 25 feet east ofbonng B-1, <br /> • Between 15 and 25 feet north of boring B-1, <br /> • Between 15 and 25 feet south of boring B-1, <br /> Advanced CeoEnvironmental,Inc <br />
