25 April 2005
• AGE-NC Protect No 00-0696
' in ground water elevation of approximately 0 29 feet since the last monitoring event in November
2004
' During this monitoring event, the ground water levels in wells MW-1 through MW-4 were as high
as 1 18 feet above the tops of the well screens, indicating that the wells may not yield accurate data
representative of shallow ground water conditions However, during the purge cycle, the depth to
water was reduced to a level within the well screens, thus recharging the wells with water from the
screen area exposed to the surrounding sediments and water-bearing layers
Ground water at the site was inferred to be flowing in a north-northeast plunging trough under
hydraulic gradients of approximately 0 01 foot/foot(ft/ft)or less Figure 3 illustrates the contoured
ground water elevations as measured on 28 February 2005
I
32 ANALYTICAL RESULTS OF GROUND WATER SAMPLES
TPH- was detected in the round water sample collected from well MW-3 at a concentration of
g g p
560 micrograms per liter (µg/1) BTEX compounds were detected in the ground water sample
collected from well MW-3 at the following concentrations 7 3 µg/1 benzene, 27 4g/1 toluene,
26 µg/1 ethylbenzene, and59 µg/1 total xylenes
No other analytes were detected at or above laboratory detection limits in the ground water samples
analyzed The analytical results of the ground water samples collected on 28 February 2005 are
summarized in Table 2 The laboratory report (CTEL Project No CT214-0503006), quality
assurance/quality control (QA/QC) report, and chain of custody form are included in Appendix D
Documents confirming the upload of laboratory electronic deliverable format(EDF)files and depth
to water measurements to GeoTracker are included in Appendix E
4.0. SUMMARY AND CONCLUSIONS
Based on the data collected from the site, AGE concludes
IOn 28 February 2005, depths to ground water ranged from 3 82 feet to 4 97 feet below the
tops of the well casings Ground water elevation at the site ranged from 16 58 feet to
17 29 feet below MSL, and averaged approximately 16 81 feet below MSL, indicating an
increase in ground water elevation of approximately 0 29 feet since the last monitoring event
in November 2004
• Ground water at the site was inferred to be flowing in a north-northeast plunging trough
under hydraulic gradients of approximately 0 01 ft/ft or less
Advanced GeoEnvironmental,Inc
