(GTI) has prepared the following summary to%
clarify project progress and status. The summary, organized by
year, presents soil and groundwater assessment and remediation
activities conducted est the above referenced site.
1986
Due to an unleaded gasoline loss from a product line some time in
early 1986, four groundwater monitoring wells (MW-1 through Md-4)
were installed to initially assess the gasoline loss impact on
subsurface soils and groundwater (See Attached Figure 1) . Due to
the confirmation of soil and groundwater impact, four more
monitoring wells (MW-5 through MW-9) were installed on and off-
site. Concurrently, sampling of nearby domestic wells was
initiated to assess any impact of the drinking water aquifer.
Initial domestic well sampling results showed detectable
hydrocarbon levels (See Attached Tables 1 and 2) . Subsequent
c domestic well sampling results in 1986 showed no detectable
i levels of dissolved hydrocarbons. Initial detection was
attributed to sampling and/or analysis error.
Offices lhroughouf she U.S..Canada and Overseas
r
HIM
1
