7--11/Stockton 10
April 1989
located in the driveway or paved areas. For the well
located in open field area southeast of the site, a
stove pipe-type protective cover will be installed.
Monitoring wells will be constructed as described and
as shown on Figure 5. The well casings will be sealed
with locking, water-tight caps to prevent the entrance
of surface water into the wells.
The mesal#,,ring ,well., xiestt will be constructed in a
similar manner as the individual monitoring wells. An
initial boring will be advanced to approximately 65-
feet, which is the anticipated aquitard depth, as
established in previous investigations. Continuous
cores will by collected fro-n the initial boring which
will be examined to determine completion depths for
^ each well within the nest. one deep well will be
installed in the initial boring. Subsequently, two
additional borings will be made to complete a total of
three wells within the nest. The screened intervals
for the two deeper borings will be approximately 5 feet
in length and will be staggered in depth of completion
to monitor discrete areas of the aquifer. The: third
well will be installed to a depth of approximately
15-feet below the water liable, to monitor the upper
zone. Monitoring-well nest construction is depicted on
Figure 6.
A11 drilling and groundwater monitoring well
installations will be conducted in accordance :pith the
- State of California and local regulations. in
addition, these activities will be conducted in
accordance with GTI's Standard operating Procedures
(Appendix I, sops 11, 14 and 15) .
GRoL'%'DR'AT£R
_ TFcH.uOLOGV,Inc.
