The samples submitted from each
boring will be the following: (1) the one which
exhibits the highest PID reading; (2) one from the top
of the water table; (3) and the last one which shows a
PTD reading as the hole is advanced. For the on-site
well nese, four samples will be submitted to the
laboratory for analyses of BTEX and TPH-as-gasoline.
They will include the following: f1) one for the first
evidence of contamination (PID reading) ; (2) one from
the top water table; (3) t.,e one which exhibits the
highest PID reading; (4) acid the last one which shows a
PID reading aL the hole is advanced.
ciiial monitoring well will be constructed of
rd.
2-inch-diameter PVC: casing with factory--slott3d screen
from approximately 15-feet below and 5-feet above the
water table. The screen slot size and filter
pack materials will be 0.020 inch and a Lonestar No.
2/12 sand, respectively. These dimensions are based on
previous borings and well instal]ations at the site.
Above the bentonite seal, the annular space will be
backfilled with cement grout. The wellhead will be
constructed of a street-rated "Christy box" grouted in
place to provide a protective cover for those wells
—
Ilk' kn1Inr4Ttat
.,...E TECHM IANAI I\C.
