D1VESfON
Reference: Application Referral RV-88-3
Gentlemen:
At the Lathrop Municipal Advisory Council meeting on April 12, 1989, we reviewed
the above referenced Application Referral. We recommend for denial unless the
following items are addressed and proper mitigation measures are enacted:
1) Frewert Road is widened and repaved to handle anticipated traffic,
2) Mitigation measures be taken to alleviate the groundwater seepage
experienced in the past,
3) Traffic study is done to address vehicular traffic to be added to
Manthey Road, Lathrop Road, French Camp Road, as well as Frewert
Road, and other surrounding streets,
4) Sheriff's Department is consulted on the anticipated impact on their
patrol based on this type of facility and the numbers of vehicles
and persons to be added to the area,
5) Installation of a metal or masonry perimeter wall in lieu of the 6'
solid wood fence indicated - the basis for this is to prevent people
(park users) from removing parts of the wood fence to provide themselves
direct access to the levee.
If you have any questions, please contact us.
Very truly yours,
LATHROP MUNIyCIPAL ADVISORY COUNCIL
Karen L. McKee
LMAC Secretary
cc: Supervisor Sousa
