t ,
Sacramento
January 13, 1988
2526-88-00
Mr. Mike Quartaroli
Quartaroli and Associates
160 Northgate Drive
Manteca, CA 95336
SUBJECT: FREWERT ROAD RV PARK WASTEWATER TREATMENT AND DISPOSAL
Dear Mike:
We have made a preliminary assessment of the land area required for wastewater
treatment and disposal at the proposed Frewert Road RV Park assuming that a
package treatment plant with a disposal pond or rapid infiltration system will
be used. It may be possible to use rapid infiltration instead of ponds for
disposal if sandy soils are present . Rapid infiltration would require less
land area than a pond system. However, until good soils data is available, we
will base our land requirements on a pond system in order to be conservative.
The following is a summary of our findings.
A. ESTIMATED WASTEWATER FLOW RATES
Based on the anticipated development plan, our wastewater flow estimates are
as follows.
G Peak hour flow rate 70,000 gpd
Maximum day flow rate 17,500 gpd
Annual average flow rate 10,500 gpd
G Annual volume of wastewater 11.8 ac-ft
1 Estimates of maximum day flow rates are based on 100% occupancy of 166 RV
I spaces. It is assumed that restroom and shower facilities, an office and
maintenance building, and a laundry with five washing machines are sited at
the park. The laundry accounts for about 17% of the maximum day flow. No
food service facilities were included in the estimates.
NOLTE and ASSOCIATES
Engineers / Planners / Surveyors
1730 1 Street, Sacramento, CA 95814 Tel: (916) 446 5020 FAX No. (916) 446-0118
