' Closure Report� May 21, 1993 <br /> Southland Site No 20680, 9110 Thornton Road, Stockton, CA 5 <br /> M2.5 Closure Work Steps <br />' To move toward site closure, the following work steps were performed <br />' ■ Submitted a-Sfte Closure Work Plan to the SJPHS In March 1991 The Site Closure <br /> _Work Plan presented a summary of the site assessment and remediation activities <br /> conducted for the site, an overview of groundwater well monitonng and sampling <br />' results, an overview of the sod sampling and analytical results, and a description of <br /> work steps necessary to obtain site closure <br />' ■ Removed the three USTs and associated product dispensing lines at the site during <br /> September 1991 <br />' ■ Installed three groundwater monitoring wells to confirm water quality one <br /> monitoring well on site (MW-20) and two monitoring wells hydraulically <br /> downgradient/cross gradient of the site (MW-18 and MW-19) (Figure 2) <br />' The analytical results of soil samples collected during the removal of the USTs and associated lines <br /> were presented in Groundwater Technology's letter to SJPHS, dated October 4, 1991 The analytical <br />' results of the sod and groundwater samples collected during groundwater monitoring well Installation <br /> were presented in Groundwater Technology's Prolect Quarterly UPdate and Well Installation Report, <br /> dated February 21, 1992 <br /> Following these closure work steps, nine confirmation soil bonngs were dniled to confirm that the <br /> site remediation was complete <br /> 3.0 IMPLEMENTATION OF CONFIRMATION SAMPLING <br /> 3.1 Site-Specific Health and Safety Plan, Background Review, and Permitting <br /> Groundwater Technology previously prepared a site-specific Health and Safety Plan required by <br /> Occupational Safety and Health Administration Hazardous Waste Operations and Emergency <br /> I Response Guidelines (29 CFR 1910 120) The document was reviewed with and signed by <br /> Groundwater Technology personnel and subcontractors performing work at the site before field <br /> Ioperations began Soil boring permits were obtained from SJPHS and are included as Appendix B <br /> 1211Ro13 <br /> �__i[ GROUNDWATER <br /> I ��r <br /> -'TECHNOLOGY, INC <br />
