The Southland Corporation.9110 Thornton Road,Stockton,CA _ May 21,1996 <br /> i <br /> Groundwater monitoring data from the March 19, 1996 monitoring and sampling event are summarized in <br /> Table 2 Field Data sheets are included in Attachment 3 <br /> Monitoring Well Sampling and Analytical Results <br /> On March 19, 1996,the following monitoring wells MW-1,MW-2,MW-4,MW-10 and MW-14 were sampled <br /> Monitoring well MW-12 was inaccessible due to a stuck pump in the well At least three well volumes of water <br /> was purged from each well (unless the well was purged dry)to ensure stabilization of pH, conductivity and <br /> temperature. Monitoring wells vAh sufficient water were allowed to recharge to at least 80 percent of the initial <br /> level before sampling Samples were collected from the monitoring wells using disposable bailers The <br /> samples were labeled, stored on ice in an insulated container, and delivered to NEI/GTEL Environmental <br /> Laboratories in Wichita, Kansas under chain-of-custody manifest The samples were analyzed for BTEX. <br /> MTBE and TPH-G by Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) methods 8020/modified 8015 In order to <br /> confirm the analytical results for MTBE by method 8020,the samples were re-analyzed using EPA method <br /> 8260 <br /> On March 19,1996,approximately 68 gallons of purge water was pumped to the sanitary sewer in accordance <br /> with the Special Permit thr Waste Water Discharge letter, dated June 5, 1995, from the City of Stockton, <br /> Department of Municipal Utilities. <br /> Historical analytical results for groundwater samples are summarized in Table 1 Analytical results for <br /> groundwater samples collected on March 19, 1996 are summarized in Table 2 No TPH-G was detected in <br /> any of the monitoring wells sampled Benzene was detected only in the groundwater sample from well MW-1 <br /> ata concentration of 0 8 micrograms per liter(ug/L) No MTBE was detected above the reporting limit in any <br /> of the samples analyzed by either EPA method 8020 or 8260 A copy of the laboratory analytical report and <br /> the chain-of-custody manifest are included in Attachment 4 <br /> The site is currently being considered for closure by the California Regional Water Quality Control Board - <br /> Central Valley Region (CRWQCB-CVR),and the San Joaquin County Public Health Services(SJCPHS) <br /> °230q198 1) FLYO!
