Please be advised that the frequency
of sampling may be modified should future site conditions warrant.
As a reminder, in order for PHS/EHD to evaluate this site for closure, confirmation soil borings are needed
in the areas of concern as discussed in a April 15, 1993 letter from PHS/EHD to you. A mass volume
determination on any residual hydrocarbons detected in the confirmation soil borings should be conducted.
Modeling may need to be performed on any soil contamination found to be remaining to indicate the possible
future impact to groundwater. PHS/EHD and the Central Valley Regional Water Quality Control Board will
evaluate this information to determine if the beneficial uses designated for groundwater in this area are
protected in the future.
If there are any questions, or if you would like to discuss this letter in;detail, please contact Linda Turkatte
at (209) 468-3441.
Donna Heran, REHS, Director
Environmental Health Division
Linda Turkatte, Senior REHS Diane ns n, REHS
Site Mitigation Unit Supervisor
LT
c: CVRWQCB-Beth Thayer !i
c: RESNA-Richard Garlow
c: Edward Yang
A Division of San Joaquin County Health Care Services
