Box 2009
Stockton, California 95201
Subject: Quik Stop Market No. 120
9321 North Thornton Road
Stockton, California
Site Code: 1261
Ms. Turkatte:
Thank you for the telephone discussion we had on May 17, 1994, regarding the Quik Stop
Market referenced above. During this conversation you mentioned that based on laboratory
analytical results of past groundwater samplings (total petroleum hydrocarbons as diesel or
gasoline, and benzene, toluene, ethylbenzene or total xylenes last detected in December
1990) we could probably get approval to reduce the frequency of monitoring from
semiannual to annual, with monitoring done in the spring.
On behalf of Quik Stop Markets Inc., we request that the monitoring of Quik Stop Market
No. 120 be reduced from semiannual to annual. The next semiannual monitoring scheduled
for June 1994 will be performed, subsequent monitoring;;will be performed every March.
For your convenience we have included Table 1, Cumulative Results of Groundwater
Sampling and Analyses, which contains sampling, and analyses data collected since July and
August 1990. We look forward to your approval of this request. If you have any questions,
please call (510) 440-3300.
Sincerely,
RESN Industrie Inc.
r
ichard A. arlow
Project Geologist
Attachments: Table 1: Cumulative Results of Groundwater Sampling and
Analyses
