December 1992 Semiannual Groundwater Sampling and Analysis <br /> Qutk Stop Market No 120,9321 North Thornton Road, Stockton, California <br />' Dear Mr GnffidL <br />' RESNA Industnes Inc (RESNA)has prepared this report of the results of the December 1992 semiannual <br /> groundwater sampling and analyses conducted at the subject site in Stockton, San Joaquin County, <br /> California (Plate 1) The site plan (Plate 2) shows the current location of the station building, adjacent <br /> streets,monitoring wells,and other site-specific features Background information on the site is included in <br /> Appendix A <br /> The monitoring wells are sampled semiannually to monitor the shallow groundwater underlying the site <br /> The program objectives ate listed below <br /> • Measure depth of groundwater <br /> • Construct a groundwater elevation contour map within-the site <br /> boundaries <br /> • Sample and analyze groundwater samples for specified petroleum <br /> hydrocarbon constituents <br /> • Compare current and past data <br /> The existence and degree of petroleum hydrocarbons in the groundwater underlying the site is determined <br /> by (1) the presence of free-floating product and (2) laboratory analyses of groundwater samples The <br /> samples are analyzed for total petroleum hydrocarbons as diesel(TPHD), total petroleum hydrocarbons as <br /> gasoline(TPHG); as well as benzene,toluene,ethylbenzene,and total xylenes(BTEX) <br /> Groundwater Sampling <br /> Groundwater samples were collected from the three monitoring wells on-site in accordance with RESNA's <br /> groundwater sampling protocol (Appendix B) Groundwater purged from the wells and equipment <br /> decontamination water was placed in drums approved by the Department of Transportation and left on-site <br /> pending removal by a licensed hauler The volume of groundwater removed from each well is noted on the <br /> groundwater sampling field log included in Appendix C <br />
