Quilt Stop Markets,Inc.
Project No F7120 32
Page 2 Working To Restore Nature
Laboratory Analyses
' The groundwater samples were transported to RESNA Environmental Laboratories, a state-certified
laboratory, located in Fremont, California. Samples were analyzed for the presence of TPHD following
modified Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) Method 3510/8015, TPHG following modified EPA
' Method 5030/8015, and BTEX following EPA Method 5030/602 The laboratory analytical report and
chain-of-custody document are attached in Appendix D
Summary of Results
' A summary of the analytical results from current and past well samplings is presented in Table 1 Plate 2
shows the groundwater elevation contours based on the water level data in Table 1 Groundwater
elevations dropped an average of 132 feet since the last sampling The apparent groundwater flow
' direction remains easterly at a gradient of approximately 0 002 As shown in Table 1,TPHD,TPHG, and
BTEX has not been detected in the groundwater samples collected from this site for two years The next
semi-annual groundwater sampling and analysis is scheduled m June 1993
Discussion and Recommendations
This site has a minimum of two years of no detectable TPHD,TPHG,and BTEX (Table 1) In well MW-
1. TPHD, TPHG, and BTEX has not been detected since its installation in July 1990 TPHD has never
been detected in well MW-2 since its installation in August 1990 and the last time TPHG or BTEX was
detected was in December 1990 The last time TPHD,TPHG,or BTEX was detected in MW-3 was also in
December 1990 With an established history of nondetectable TPHD, TPHG, or BTEX it is the
recommendation of RESNA, in compliance with the State of California Leaking Underground Fuel Tanks
(LUFT)Manual, October 1989,page 61,that Quik Stop Markets be permitted to discontinue monitonng at
tins site
' Reporting Requirements
A copy of this report should be forwarded by Quik Stop Markets,Inc to the following agencies in a timely
manner
San Joaquin County Public Health Services
Environmental Health Division
445 North San Joaquin Street
Stockton, California 95202-2026
Attiention Ms Eleanor Ratliff,
Environmental Health Specialist
California Regional Water Quality Control Board
Central Valley Region(5)
' 3443 Routier Road
Sacramento, California 95827-3098
Attention Mr Corey Condon
' Stockton Fire Department
Hazardous Materials Division
6 East Lindsey Street
Stockton,California 95202-1912
Attention Captain White
