SECTION IV: <br /> EMERGENCY EQUIPMENT <br /> Fire Extinguishers : There are approximately 100 fire extinguishers (Type ABC ) throughout the <br /> facility . There is one on each forklift and several located in each department . <br /> First Aid Kits : Each building (department) has a first aid kit with limited resources . <br /> Mill Rescue : Building 5 (mill room ) has 2 mill rescue boxes on wheels . Building 13 ( Precision <br /> molding) has a mill rescue box, Building 1 (the Lab) has mill rescue equipment . <br /> Protective Equipment : Supply , Building 15 has face shields, safety glasses , goggles, chemical <br /> protection gloves, white Tyvek jumpsuits , earplugs, respirators for welding , dust and chemicals . <br /> Absorbents : Supply has bagged Stardust super absorbent and pads . There is also a limited <br /> amount in each department and pads in the Flammables Storage building . <br /> Eye Wash & Showers : Stations are located by chemical tanks northeast of Building 1 , <br /> Handbuild Department of Building 1 , also next to spray booth behind Building 9 and in Building <br /> 9 . <br /> EMERGENCY CHECKLIST : <br /> The following will be regularly maintained : <br /> • Fire extinguishers and emergency equipment . <br /> • Alarm system . <br /> • Spill clean -up materials . <br /> • Decontamination clothing and respirators . <br /> Water supply and pressure . <br /> EMERGENCY REPORTING <br /> Holz employees are not trained to combat any emergencies other than small fires and very small <br /> chemical spills . <br /> Whenever there is an imminent or actual situation resulting from fire, explosion and/or known <br /> chemical release , it is the legal responsibility of the Emergency Coordinator (or designee) to <br /> notify the appropriate State and/or local agencies . An emergency notification phone roster is on <br /> page 3 . <br /> If there is an emergency that could threaten human health or the environment outside the facility , <br /> the Emergency Coordinator must notify appropriate local authorities . Emergency Coordinator <br /> must also be available to help appropriate officials to decide whether local areas should be <br /> evacuated and must notify the California Office of Emergency Services at 9400 852 -7550 . <br /> Information to report . <br /> • Name and phone number of the person reporting <br /> • Name and address of the facility <br /> • Time and type of incident (fire , explosion , chemical release) . <br /> • Name and quantity of material involved to extent known . <br /> • Extent of injuries , if any <br /> • Possible hazards to human health or environment outside the facility . <br /> 6 <br />
