Provide training documentation to the San Joaquin <br />County Environmental Health Department (EHD) within 30 days. The documentation must include a list of training <br />topics, date of training, job title, name of employee, written job description (qualifications and duties), and employee <br />signed (or certified) record that documents the training. <br />This is a Class II violation. <br />301 <br />CCR 66265.31 Facility not maintained to minimize the release of a hazardous waste. <br />OBSERVATION: <br />-A broken lamp was observed in the secondary containment pallet for two 55 gallon drums of hazardous waste <br />(toxic liquid & organic acid) in the hazardous waste cage. <br />-A clear soap spill covering an approximate area of 1 x1 feet was observed in the problem solving area across from <br />the restrooms between docks 124 & 125. A plastic bin of Mrs. Meyers soap was observed next to the spill. <br />REGULATION GUIDANCE: A hazardous waste generator must maintain and operate its facility to minimize the <br />possibility of a fire, explosion, or any unplanned sudden or non -sudden release of hazardous waste or hazardous <br />waste constituents to air, soil, or surface water which could threaten human health or the environment. <br />CORRECTIVE ACTION: The violation was corrected during the inspection by cleaning up the broken lamp, putting <br />it into a hazardous waste container and labeling it as hazardous waste and cleaning up the soap spill.
