California Regional Water Quality Control Board, Central
Valley Region (Central Valley Water Board) conditionally concurs with the Well Destruction
Work Plan.
Conditions for approval:
• Trinkle and Boys shall append a copy of the well installation diagrams and submit the Well
Destruction Work Plan to San Joaquin County Environmental Health Department.
• Trinkle and Boys shall obtain a well destruction permit from the San Joaquin County
Environmental Health Department
These three monitoring wells (MW-4, MW-5, and MW-6) were installed in May 2009 at the
request of Central Valley Water Board staff to determine if historical pesticide applicator
practices at the site have affected groundwater. Four consecutive quarters of monitoring have
not identified an impact to groundwater. Therefore, Trinkle and Boys may destroy the
monitoring wells to the satisfaction of San Joaquin County Environmental Health Department.
When Central Valley Water Board staff receives documentation that the wells were destroyed
with San Joaquin County oversight, we can proceed with concluding the investigation.
