Quarterly Report - First Quarter 2001
Former Curtiss Pontiac-Buick
2450 Toste Road, Tracy, California
' 1.0. INTRODUCTION
At the request of Mr Joe Toste, Advanced GeoEnvironmental, Inc (AGE) has prepared this
quarterly report for 2450 Toste Road, Tracy, California (the site) The scope of work included
sampling ten ground water monitoring wells, data analysis and preparation of this report The site
Isetting is illustrated in Figure i A plan view of the site is illustrated in Figure 2
A summary of previous investigations at the site is included in Preliminary Investigation and
Evaluation Report(PIER),prepared by AGE, dated 15 August 1997 and Quarterly Report, prepared
by AGE, dated 18 September 1997 Ground water monitoring data collected from momtonng well
MW-3,which is part of the underground storage tank(UST)release investigation at 2420 Grant Line
I Road, is included in this investigation to delineate the down gradient extent of the dissolved
hydrocarbon plume and to determine ground water flow direction and gradient Quarterly monitoring
data from February 1998 to the present is summarized in Tables 1 and 2 in this report
2.0. PROCEDURES
Field procedures were performed in accordance with Central Valley Regional Water QualityControl
I Board (CVRWQCB) and Sari Joaquin County Public Health Services - Environmental Health
Division (PHS-EHD) guidelines for subsurface investigations of underground storage tank (UST)
sites and sampling ground water monitoring wells
2 1 GROUND WATER DEPTH MEASUREMENT AND PURGING
On 30 January 2001, a Solmst water level meter was used to measure the depth to ground water in
each well relative to the top of the well casing After ground water depth measurements were
I collected,monitoring wells MW-1 through MW-7 and MW-3 at 2420 Grant Line Road (GLMW-3,
in this report)were purged using a two-stage submersible pump A minimum of three casing-water
volumes of water were purged from each well, excluding monitoring wells MW-3 and MW-7 The
actual purge volumes were as follows
• Four to six gallons of water were evacuated from wells GLMW-3, MW-2B, and MW-3
through MW-6
• Ten to twelve gallons of water were purged from MW-1A and MW-2A
• Monitoring wells MW-3 and MW-7 were pumped dry after three gallons and six gallons of
water had been purged, respectively
Advanced GeoEnvzronmentai inc
