Present at the meeting were Paul Verma, City of Tracy; John Lynch,
Wright Environmental Services; and Margaret Lagorio and Lori Duncan, SJCIEHD.
Preliminary site assessments have been conducted at each of the listed sites except Tracy
Municipal Airport. At the meeting the current status and necessary next phase of'investigation
of each site was discussed as follows:
68 E. Eleventh-Street- Cage-N-Play; a Geoprobe investigation reported soil_and.groundwater
contamination in the former tank pits, and groundwater contamination 60-80 feet away from the
former tank pits in the down gradient direction. Groundwater monitoring wells.are needed to
confirm the reported contamination and to provide repeatable samples. The City of Tracy will
submit a work plan to install one monitoring well on the south side of Eleventh Street near the r
former tank pits, and two on the north side of Eleventh Street in the down gradient direction.
99 W. Sixth Street- Two UST's were discovered and removed from this site by the City of Tracy
during a road improvement project. The preliminary site investigation documented soil and
groundwater contamination in the street and up to the edge of the private property fronting the
street at this location. The business at this property, Tracy/Delta Disposal, has thus far refused
access to their property for the City of Tracy to investigate the lateral extent of the contamination r
from the former UST's. The City of Tracy agreed to proceed with submittal of a work plan to t
install three groundwater monitoring wells to confirm the contamination reported in the grab
groundwater samples. After review of our file we found that SJCIEHD named Tracy/Delta
Disposal as a responsible party for this site in January 1998. f=uture correspondence for this
site will be to both responsible parties.
