The work was done in <br /> preparation for a closure in place of three underground storage tanks (UST) and <br /> associated piping.. A total of 21-soil samples and one water sample were submitted for <br /> analysis of petroleum hydrocarbon constituents. Results of the analyses indicate that <br /> two of the soil samples and the water sample were positive for total petroleum <br /> hydrocarbons as diesel (TPHd). <br /> Please prepare a work plan to define the vertical and lateral extent of the documented j <br /> petroleum hydrocarbon contamination at this site. Submit the work plan to PHS/EHD by <br /> September 15, 2000.
