Turner Road; Lodi, CA
Please be advised that this office has reviewed the above referenced workplan. we have found the plan inadequate and are
discontinuing our review as the work plan does not specifically address or define the Lateral and vertical extent of soil
and/or groundwater contamination.
We suggest that you submit a revised workplan which will fuLty define the extent of groundwater and/or soil contamination at
this site so a complete and comprehensive problem assessment report can be developed.
The revised workplan shoutd include the laboratory results of all previous investigations conducted at the above mentioned
site. The workplan shall be prepared under the stamp or seal of a registered geologist or certified engineering geologist,
or registered engineer (State of California Registration), as the workplan should address the groundwater quality at the
site.
The excavated 1250 cubic yards of soil noted at the above mentioned facitity is to be covered with potyvisquine until such
time that its nature and disposition is addressed in an addended workptan.
Assessment workptans and/or reports should follow the Tri-Regional VaLLey Guidelines for Initial Evaluation and Investigation
of Underground Storage Tanks and/or recommendations in the LUFT Field Manual.
Included is a Report Review Check List which highlights the deficiencies noted in the above referenced workplan. An
informational packet outlining the steps to obtain the necessary permits to facilitate the groundwater investigation is also
enclosed.
Should you have any questions please contact Cynthia Wagner of my staff at (209) 468-3452.
Jogi Khanna, M.D., M.P.N.
District Health fficer
f c
o Val" oti, Director
Environmental Health Division
RV:asm C(OPY
Enclosures
cc: RWQCB, Region 5
Administration Clinical Services Environmental Health Public Health Nursing
468-3400 468-3830 468-3420 468-3860
Air Pollution Community Services Laboratory WIC
468-3470 468-3820 468-3460 468-3280
AIDS Information 468-3820
