CLAOIFICATION OF CONTAMINATED- SOILS FROM THE ISC WINERY
As per, the requirements of the California Central Valley
Regional Water Quality Control Board, California Dept. of Health
Services, and San Joaquin County PHS/END, the hydrocarbon
contaminated soils from the ISC Winery were tested for waste
classification. Following the California Code of Regulations,
Title 22, Article ii, this report will exhibit all the data
required for classification.
In order to classify the hydrocarbon contaminated soils, all
required tests were performed on samples from the ISC Winery
site. The representative samples from the excavated contaminated
sails were gathered and recorded by Richard Thorpe on 5/17/90.
All required information was recorded an the standard field
sample log sheet of Canonie Environmental Services Corperation.
(See Appendix, A for log sheet) .
I. TOXICITY
According to the California Code of Regulations, Title 22,
Article 11, Section 66696, number four, the soil is classified as
hazardous if it, "has an acute aquatic 96 hour LC50 value of less
than five hundred mg/1". Richard Thorpe commissioned FGL
Environmental of Santa Paula, California to conduct the bioassay
tests as per TITLE 22 of the Code. Summary of the test results
listed below.
