' k%1 KLEINFELDER <br /> 1 6 SENSITIVE RECEPTOR SURVEY <br /> Kleinfelder conducted a survey of"sensitive receptors" located within approximately 2,000 feet <br /> of the non operating UST at the subject site Sensitive receptors typically include wells,but also <br /> refer to canals, surface streams, lakes, ponds etc The sensitive receptor survey included review <br /> of records from the Department of Water Resources (DWR), a search for wells by local water <br /> purveyors, and a 500-foot physical search for receptors at the site The DWR and water <br /> ' purveyor search for wells was also conducted within an approximate 2,000-foot radius of the <br /> former UST at the subject site Findings from these surveys and searches have been <br /> ' summarized in the attached Table 4 and are illustrated on Plates 3 and 4 <br /> 6.1 DWR RECORDS <br /> IWell logs were requested for a 2,000-foot radius at the site from Ms Ann Roth of the DWR <br /> The DWR request for well logs included a search area including <br /> Township g , <br /> 4 North Range 6 East Section 34, Subsections Q and R, and Section 35, <br /> Subsection N, <br /> • Township 3 North, Range 6 East, Section 3, Subsections B, A, G, and H, and Section 2, <br /> Subsections D, C, and E <br /> A total of eight well logs supplied by DWR were reviewed Four of the well descriptions were <br /> found either within the 2,000 foot search distance of the former UST, near the perimeter, or <br /> ' could not be located by Kleinfelder based on the available location information provided by <br /> DWR The remaining four DWR well logs describe well locations outside the 2,000 foot <br /> search area as depicted on Plate 4 <br /> 6.2 PURVEYOR RECORDS <br /> ' Two water purveyors which service the site area were contacted They included Lodi Irrigation <br /> District and Lodi Municipal Utilities Both companies were faxed a map showing the 2,000- <br /> foot radius search area and requested to respond with any information regarding knowledge of <br /> any wells within the area Mr Steve Borra of the Lodi Irrigation District (LID) responded by <br /> phone to our request, stating that the LID had no wells within or near the identified search area <br /> ' Mr Frank Beeler of Lodi Municipal Utilities also responded by phone, at which time he stated <br /> knowledge of three City of Lodi wells in or near the defined search area One of those wells <br /> (City of Lodi Well No 7) matched the location and owner identification number of a well log <br /> obtained from DWR(Well No 7R) It appears that Well No A second well (City of Lodi Well <br /> 20-1417-16 E04/ST02RO38 Page 11 of 18 <br /> 0 2002 Kleinfelder,Inc June 7,2002 <br />
