• 08 August 2001 <br /> AGE-NC Project No 99-0657 <br /> Page 2of10 <br /> The proposed scope of work will include the following tasks <br /> • Permitting and pre-field work preparations, <br /> • CPT soil boring advancement, <br /> • Soil and ground water sample collection and analysis, <br /> • Monitoring well installation and sampling, and <br /> • Report preparation <br /> Each of these tasks is described m greater detail below <br /> 3 1 PRE-FIELD WORK PREPARATIONS <br /> A health and safety plan will be updated in accordance with Occupational Safety and Health <br /> Guidance Manual for Hazardous Waste Site Activities (National Institute for Occupational Safety <br /> • and Health Administration, U S Coast Guard and U S Environmental Protection Agency, 1985) <br /> Prior to mobilization, the area of excavation will be clearly marked and a utility clearance obtained <br /> through Underground Service Alert <br /> 32 CPT DRILLING <br /> AGE proposes to drill five CPT soil borings at the site as part of site assessment activities The <br /> proposed CPT soil boring locations are illustrated m Figure 2 <br /> Based on petroleum hydrocarbon-impact encountered during the initial investigation,AGE proposes <br /> CPT soil borings to characterize lithology, potential contaminant migration pathways and to assess <br /> the vertical extent of petroleum hydrocarbon-unpacted soil and/or ground water in, the following <br /> locations <br /> • Adjacent to ground water monitoring well MWI, <br /> • Adjacent to ground water monitoring well MW2, <br /> • Adjacent to ground water monitoring well MW4, <br /> • Between 20 and 30 feet east of ground water monitoring well MW3, and <br /> . • Between 75 and 80 feet north of ground water monitoring well MW2 <br /> Advanced GeoEnvironmental,Inc <br />
