INTRODUCTION <br /> At the request of Mr Robert McCarty,Advanced GeoEnvironmental, Inc (AGE) has prepared this <br /> quarterly report for the property located at 2420 West Turner Road, Lodi, California The site and <br /> the surrounding area are illustrated in Figure 1 On-site structures and monitoring well locations are <br /> illustrated on Figure 2 Background information and ground water monitoring procedures for the site <br /> are summarized in AGE's work plan titled Preliminary Site Assessment Work Plan, dated 19 <br /> November 1999 <br /> I <br /> I2.0. PROCEDURES <br /> The objective of the work was to monitor dissolved petroleum hydrocarbon concentrations in ground <br /> water and to characterize ground water flow direction and gradient on the site Field work and report <br /> preparation are in accordance with guidelines established by the San Joaquin County Public Health <br /> Services - Environmental Health Division (PHS-EHD) and by the Central Valley Regional Water <br /> Ile Quality Control Board (CVRWQCB) for investigation of underground storage tank(UST) sites <br /> I2 1 MONITORING WELL PURGE PROCEDURES <br /> On 03 October 2000, ground water monitoring and sampling was performed on wells MW 1 through <br /> I MW4 Prior to sampling, the depth to ground water was measured from the top of each well casing <br /> to the nearest 0 01 foot utilizing a Solinst water level meter Ground water elevations In each well <br /> were calculated by subtracting the measured depth to ground water from surveyed casing elevations <br /> (Table 1) <br /> After water levels were gauged, a submersible pump was used to purge each monitoring well of <br /> Istanding water Approximately 10 gallons of water (minimum of 3 casing-water volumes) were <br /> removed from each well Ground water temperature,pH and conductivity were measured at regular <br /> intervals during purging using a Hydac water analyzer Field sheets and data are included in <br /> Appendix A Purged water was stored on-site in labeled, 55-gallon DOT-approved drums <br />' 2 2 COLLECTION OF GROUND WATER SAMPLES <br /> Water samples were collected from each purged well using new disposable plastic bailers Each <br /> water sample was transferred into one 1-hter amber bottle and three 40-m1 VOA vials containing 0 5 <br /> ml 18% hydrochloric acid as a sample preservative After collection, the samples were properly <br /> I <br /> Advanced GeoEnvironmental,Inc <br /> I <br />
